Hawker 800XPI
The Hawker 800XPI is essentially a Hawker 800XP with significant factory upgrades. The main feature of the 800XPI Upgrade Program was the Collins Pro Line 21 Avionics Suite with 4 – 8 ×10-inch adaptive monitors displaying navigation, terrain awareness warning systems (TAWS), weather, reduced vertical separation minimum (RVSM) and enhanced ground proximity warning systems (EGPWS). The 800XPI also featured Electronic Charts and Enhanced Map Overlays as standard with the new Integrated Flight Information System (IFIS).
A new Interior and Cabin Management System round out the upgrades.
The upgraded 800XPI interior features 900XP style stand-up headroom, LCD lighting, touch-screen seat controls, five swiveling, reclining (fully berthable) seats, a three-place divan, and plenty of in-cabin storage.
Factory Winglets were an option during the upgrade process and some of the XPI’s, but not all, have those winglets installed.
Notes of Interest
With the Hawker 850XP being certified in mid-2006, the 800XPI program, which was essentially a bridge between the 800XP and 850XP was phased out. The Hawker 800XPI factory upgrade program was the Grand Finale to the Hawker 800XP’s highly successful production run that had begun in 1996.
